Timings:

Park keeps open for all the days except wednesday from morning 9:30 am to 5:00 pm in evening

Katraj Snake Park:

Park is actually divided into two sections one for snake other for the zoo. In the snake park, you may find 22 different species. The 13-foot long king cobra is the main attraction of this snake park. Every year the authority of snake parks organizes many awareness programs and festivals to remove the fears of snakes from peoples.

Best time to visit Katraj zoo:

From Sep to Feb i.e after the rainy season and before the start of summer. You may see the huge crowd on weekends and on public holidays. You can capture photos and videos of these wild animals using your digital camera for which you need to pay an extra fee and take separate tickets from the entry gate.

Things To Do/See

  1. It may take a minimum of 1 hr to explore snake parks which not only contain snakes but also crocodiles, turtles, and other reptiles.
  2. You can end your day by visiting Papillon Butterfly Park and Okayama Friendship Garden - Pu La Deshpande Udyan which is only 3.9 and 8.8 km respectively from this zoo.

 

Suggestion

  1. Electric cars available in the park for the people who can't walk in this huge area
  2. Sometime you may not able to locate all the animals at once and may feel disappointed as it depends on upons the timing and environment. Morning time (after 10) is good when you can spot almost all animals
  3. You must carry some food items with you while exploring this huge park as a restaurant or cafe is not available inside the zoo. Don't carry any plastic kinds of stuff or
