Pandavleni caves not only please architectural lovers but also tourists from various locations of the world. These caves are also referred to as Pandu caves or Pandav Leni.
As in line with history, the caves don't have any connection to five Pandava which are characters of the epic Mahabharata. The Pandavleni is the latest model of the old name Trirashmi. It is said that the caves were built by rulers of that point for Hinayana Buddhist monks.
The nearest airport to cave is the Gandhinagar airport which is around 11.2 km from the temple
How to reach by Road?
Cave is only 9.2 km away from Nashik Central bus stand which is well-connected to big cities
24 carved cave temples and its history:
There are 24 caves which carved with most admired work from historical eras. All those Pandava caves are a really brilliant instance of elaborate carving and craftsmanship but caves number 3, 10, and 18 are a must-see for their first-rate sculptures. These groups of 24 Nashik caves are the oldest caves of Maharashtra and created during the 1st century BC and 3rd century AD.
I love to travel, explore places, visit historical places, beaches and everything which I can cover on my bike. I think people must visit at least 10-15 places in a year where they never traveled before. To help people to understand places they may love based on their interest, I decided to blog on total safari.
