Maharashtra’s Lonar Lake Turned to Pink
The water of Maharashtra’s popular tourist hub and “National Geological Monuments” of India, Lonar lake suddenly change from greenish color to pink. It surprised locals and scientists who got attracted from across the world. Some of the experts said it turns to pink because of

Lonar lake is one of the four known lakes which is created by an asteroid collision with earth impact during Pleistocene Epoch (almost 2.6 million years ago) in the world
Lonar lake comes under the jurisdiction of the forest department, NEERI (National Environmental Engineering Research Institute) team will visit lake this week and collect samples for further investigation.
